Don’t Stop Believin’ – Fast Guitar Riff From Intro
This time we are looking at a blazing riff from a classic, melodic rock song from the 80s, Don’t Stop Believin’.
I remember the first time I heard this as a young guitar player. Here is this syrupy ballad, and then out of nowhere this little riff starts building and getting faster and faster until it reaches the crescendo.
It is really neat for a pop song to have such a savage guitar riff in it.
This riff is a great one to work on because it is repetitive and allows you to get your alternate picking technique together.
It will take patience and dedication, but if you work on this persistently the speed and cleanliness will surface and you will improve your picking skills greatly.
Below is the video with hard coded tabulature.
